PPM Lab receives Nevada NASA Space Grant Research Infrastructure award

The PPM Lab has received a Nevada NASA Space Grant Research Infrastructure award to advance 3D printing of oxide-dispersion-strengthened (GPS-ODS) alloys. Led by Dr. Ming Chen in collaboration with Co-PI Dr. Yifei Jin at UNR, the research will establish processing–microstructure–property relationships and evaluate high-temperature mechanical performance, generating preliminary data for future NASA-aligned research on materials for extreme environments, propulsion, thermal management, and deep-space exploration.
